Settings Help

The Settings Bar

Settings has its own bottom bar. (Information and View all are unavailable in this Help section.) The functions of the options on the bar are:

  • Menu: Displays links to each section.
  • Information: Displays relevant information under each setting.
  • View all: When accessing Settings from one of the editions, initially only settings relevant to that edition are displayed. Activating View all shows all settings. In addition, strips with colors appear under each setting. The colors indicate which editions each setting applies to – as per a Color Key that appears at the bottom of the screen.
  • Home: To go to the Home page.
  • Return: Returns to the page from which Settings was accessed.

Resetting Settings

Unavailable Options

Options are 'grayed out' if:

  • they are not relevant for the user’s device size; or
  • they are dependent on a previous setting being switched on.

Additionally, all settings are 'grayed out' when the menu is open on a small device.

Icons

The icons next to some settings are used (where practical) to represent the settings when viewing any of the editions. There they enable users to toggle settings on and off directly from the edition. For more information, go to The Icons on the App’s Bars, on the ‘About’ page.

Color key
